Contact for Therapy in Los Angeles, CA

I know it can feel like a big step to call a counselor, but I’ll make it easy. We’ll spend 15-minutes on the phone and I’ll let you know how, or if I can help.

I specialize in working with high-achieving Asian American women who are seeking change.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Therapy isn’t just for when things are falling apart. It’s for anyone who wants to grow, heal, and feel more in control of their life. If you’re feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed in relationships, or just not yourself — therapy can help. What matters most is that you feel safe and supported with the therapist you choose.

  • I mostly work with Asian American women in their 20s and 30s navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, codependency, low self-esteem, and life transitions. If you're not sure if we're the right fit, we can talk about that during our free consultation and I’ll help you find the right support if I’m not it.

  • I have been trained in a variety of approaches. I always tailor therapy with my clients based on their needs, which could include somatic focus, mindfulness-based practices, attachment-focused work, cognitive tools to reframe unhelpful patterns, all the way down to EMDR, if desired. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in helping you reconnect to your body and intuition.

  • I have worked with numerous individuals who have never been to therapy before. These are oftentimes my favorite clients because the amount of progress we make together is exponential! It’s quite exciting to witness.

I’ll guide you through the process, explain what to expect, and make sure you feel supported every step of the way.

  • Absolutely. While some clients focus on current stressors, many also explore deeper roots of their patterns, including: childhood experiences, relationship wounds, or unresolved trauma. You’ll always get to decide what we work on, and at a pace that feels safe for you.

  • I’m a no bullshit kind of therapist. I can be quite forward and do a great job of calling you out on things I notice: patterns, cognitive distortions, actions that could have been handled differently, and so on. I’ve also heard from many clients that I am very easy to talk to as I can give off “friend” type of vibes, while also still maintaining the professional aspect of applying what I’ve learned in numerous trainings.

My work goes beyond surface-level advice and helps you deeply understand your patterns so you can experience real, lasting change in how you feel, connect, and show up in life.

  • Our first session is a chance for me to get to know you. I’ll ask about your history, current challenges, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. Together, we’ll start setting goals for our work together.

  • Each session is 50 minutes long and held weekly via a secure HIPAA compliant video platform.

  • Most clients meet with me once per week. If you're going through a particularly difficult time, we may consider short-term twice-weekly sessions.

When you start to notice improvement and more confidence in applying the skills we go over, I usually scale down to every other week. Eventually our goal is to terminate, knowing you can move forward with what you have learned.

  • Sessions are $225 for 50 minutes. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on financial need, please don’t hesitate to ask about this if you’re concerned about affordability.

  • I’m considered an out-of-network provider. Many PPO insurance plans will reimburse a portion of your therapy costs. I can provide a monthly “superbill” (special receipt) to help with reimbursement. I’m happy to walk you through the questions to ask your insurance company before we begin.

  • You’ll submit the superbill I provide to you directly to your insurance company. Be sure to contact your plan in advance to confirm what they cover for out-of-network mental health services.

  • All sessions are held virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform (Zoom). I offer online therapy to clients throughout California.

  • For the most part, yes. What you share in therapy stays between us. However, there are a few important exceptions where I’m legally and ethically required to break confidentiality. These include situations where:

    • You are at serious risk of harming yourself or someone else

    • There is suspected abuse or neglect involving a child, elder (age 60+), or a dependent adult

    • I’m ordered to release records by a court of law

If any of these situations arise, I’ll do my best to talk with you about it first whenever possible. Your safety and trust are always my top priorities.

  • Yes! Research shows that virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person for most issues. In fact, many of my clients find it even more convenient and comfortable, since they can speak from the privacy of their own home or office.

  • It depends on your goals and the issues you're working through. While some clients benefit from short-term therapy (6–8 months), others choose to work together longer. We'll revisit your goals regularly to ensure therapy is working for you.

  • If you feel that therapy is not helping you, that is something that needs to be brought to your therapist’s attention so you can discuss goals and alternative options, if needed or desired.
