Hi, I’m Andrea. I’m a therapist who works with high-achieving Asian American women.

Offering Online Therapy in Los Angeles and Throughout California

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who helps Asian American women heal from various presenting issues, such as relationship anxiety, low self-worth, perfectionism, trauma, inner critic, imposter syndrome, high pressure careers, emotional suppression, cultural expectations… this list goes on and on.

I love this work deeply. Being able to witness a woman reclaim her voice, rebuild her confidence, and finally feel at home in her own body… that’s an honor I don’t take lightly.

My Background

As someone who is both Asian and White, but raised within an Asian culture, I understand firsthand the pressure many Asian American women carry. The expectation to excel. To make your family proud. To avoid mistakes. To prioritize others before yourself. To keep going no matter how exhausted you feel.

Many of the women I work with struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and difficulty trusting their own needs, not because something is wrong with them, but because these patterns often developed in environments where achievement, obedience, and sacrifice were highly valued.

Therapy can become a space where you no longer have to perform. A space where you can learn who you are outside of everyone else's expectations.

My Approach to Therapy

You are not broken. You don’t need to be “fixed”. But you do deserve support.

My approach is relational, integrative, and grounded in trauma-informed care. I blend talk therapy with somatic awareness, mindfulness, and cognitive reframing to help you connect with your body, shift patterns, and gain clarity.

We’ll move at your pace. We’ll explore what’s coming up in the present, while honoring what you've been through in the past. Together, we’ll help you move from self-doubt to self-trust.

My Education & Experience

I earned dual Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Sociology from UCLA, and a Master's in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Applied Community Psychology from Antioch University.

I’ve worked with adults from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, helping them navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, family conflict, and identity development. My therapeutic style includes, but is not limited to:

  • Mindfulness-based practices

  • Cognitive restructuring and inner child work

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Exposure Therapy

  • Psychoeducation and nervous system regulation
